Field Improvement Update: Progress in (slow) Motion!

We’ve been hard at work keeping the momentum going on our field improvement project! Our team has been meeting contractors to gather quotes for all the exciting elements outlined in our plan, and you can check out the latest images.

The approval process through PPS involves multiple steps, including reviews by the PPS Construction Management team, their contractors, and an evaluation of specifications to ensure everything aligns with district standards. Since our project at Maplewood includes some unique elements beyond the typical scope, PPS has been taking extra time to carefully review all the details.

We know you’re just as excited as we are to see these improvements take shape on our blacktop and field. Hang tight—big things are coming soon! Stay tuned for updates! 🚀🌿

Maplewood Renderings!  We are so pleased to show you glimpse what our vision is for our Maplewood fields. Improved ball fields, leveled surfaces, exercise paths, a rebound wall and a stage to name a few updates! We are most excited to highlight our large section of turf that will help make our field usable all year round both for our students and our community.  We can’t wait to share more!

Hello Maplewood Families!

As a proud volunteer at Maplewood Elementary School and an active PTA member, I’m thrilled to connect with you all. My daughter is in her final year at Maplewood, and I’ve had the joy of being involved in our exciting playground and outdoor space improvement project.

Our committee is committed to keeping you updated as we work to transform Maplewood’s outdoor play and field areas into a space that’s more inclusive, adaptable for year-round use, and—most importantly—more FUN!

We’re excited about the possibilities and can’t wait to share updates with you as the project unfolds. Thank you for your support in making Maplewood an even better place for our kids to learn, play, and grow!

What are Maplewood Elementary’s PTA goals this year? 

• Upgrades to Maplewood’s outdoor space, creating better play and recreation opportunities for our 300+ students  and community who use the space year round, and
