The PTA's walk and bike to school committee sponsors walking school bus
routes on Thursday mornings. The walking "bus" leaves from a public area
and walks to Maplewood with volunteer leaders. Parents are encouraged to
walk with the group or drop off their kids to walk.

From April 22 through June 3, Maplewood children will be able to tally the number of times they walk or bike to or from school. Small prizes will be given to each student every time they walk or bike 12 times. Grand prizes will be given at the end of the year to those students who:
